The longest river in the state, spanning 310 miles. Red drum and spotted seatrout top the list of game fish, but sheepshead, crevalle jack, Atlantic croaker, ladyfish, tarpon, southern lounder and black drum also inhabit the area. A population of striped bass can be found in the deeper holes in downtown Jacksonville. Work the tributaries for largemouth bass, catfish or bream.
